A neglected garden is often about much more than weeds and overgrown hedges.
It can be a sign that someone has experienced ill health, bereavement, disability, loneliness, financial hardship, or simply reached a point where keeping on top of the garden has become impossible.
Garden Hope exists to change that.
Created by Green Space Transformations UK CIC, Garden Hope is a community project that brings together local churches, volunteers and community organisations to restore gardens for people who need a helping hand.
We believe that transforming an outdoor space can also bring renewed hope, dignity and confidence to the people who live there.

For many people, an overgrown garden becomes a daily reminder of the challenges they face.
Instead of being a place to relax, it becomes a source of worry and embarrassment.
Through Garden Hope, we believe everyone deserves access to a safe, tidy and enjoyable outdoor space.
By working alongside local churches and volunteers, we can provide practical support while demonstrating kindness, compassion and hope in action.
Each Garden Hope team is made up of local volunteers who are equipped, trained and supported by Green Space Transformations UK CIC.
We provide guidance, health and safety procedures, equipment, insurance arrangements and practical expertise, enabling volunteers to make a real difference within their own communities.

Every transformed garden represents something much bigger.
A place where children can play safely.
A space where neighbours can reconnect.
A garden that someone feels proud of once again.
A reminder that people haven't been forgotten.
Garden Hope is about restoring hope as much as restoring gardens.
We believe churches are uniquely placed to serve their communities with practical love.
Garden Hope enables churches to establish volunteer gardening teams that make a lasting difference in their local neighbourhoods.
Whether your church already runs community projects or is looking for a new way to serve local people, we'd love to help you get started.
We'll provide the training, guidance and ongoing support - you provide the heart.
Green Space Transformations is led by a team of Christian leaders, with the CEO also being an ordained minister and a Pastor in Blackpool.
We understand your needs and how to help.

You don't need to be an experienced gardener to make a difference.
Whether you can spare a few hours each month or would like to become part of, or start a regular Garden Hope team, we'd love to hear from you.
